Dear Upstairs Neighbors,

I know you are excited that you now own the game Rock Band.  However, you severely suck at the game.  Honestly.  The constant thumping above my apartment is slowly turning into a migraine.  I do not enjoy waking up to your attempts at finding rhythm.  It is interrupting my peaceful weekends, and oftentimes my weeknights.  Perhaps you can do yourself a favor and take some drum, guitar, bass, or vocal lessons with a qualified teacher and rehearse at one of the many excellent practice spaces around the neighborhood.  Meet some of your other fellow aspiring musicians at said space, form your own band, and write your own songs.  Perform them at one of many wonderful neighborhood venues, like Pete's Candy Store or Trash Bar.  Or somewhere even farther away from our humble building, like Manhattan.

Just stop playing Rock Band at your damn apartment!  YARG!

Sincerely,

Your annoyed but lovely downstairs neighbors

Awesomeness

Fallen Angels is an amazing movie.  Watch it.

The director of this film, Wong Kar-Wai is my hero, but Takeshi Kaneshiro is HILARIOUS in this movie.  The only thing I don't like about this clip is that is starts about 10 seconds after Takeshi's first scene where he emerges from a closet clouded in cigarette smoke.  But other than that, I love this movie.  However, my all-time favorite movie is Chungking Express.  Coincidentally, Wong Kar-Wai directed and Takeshi Kaneshiro starred in that film as well.  But no scene in Chungking Express is as funny as this.
